22/05/2020It is with deep sorrow that I was informed of the passing away of Artemis Nazaryan, the wife of Nazar Nazaryan, the famous philanthropist and public figure. During the days of this raging catastrophe in the world, the Nazaryan family also suffered an irreparable loss.

The Deanery of the International Education today unites over 1,700 foreign students. The schooling of the students in YSMU's General Medicine, Dental and Pharmacy Faculties is conducted in three languages: Armenian, Russian and English. The first international students were Armenian Diaspora from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Cyprus, Greece and Bulgaria. YSMU has been training and preparing doctors for other countries for more than 60 years. Nowadays, students from 32 countries all over the world are trained for doctors. Holly Feast is one of the most famous Indian festivals when Indians celebrate the arrival of spring, spraying each other with colored paints.
On the initiative of the student’s parliament of YSMU, the Iranians celebrated the New Year celebration of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nowruz, in a festive atmosphere together with national songs and dances. Nowruz, according to the Iranian calendar is celebrated on the first day of spring on March 21.
