A beautiful tradition has been formed at the Medical University: at every convenient opportunity, graduates visit their alma mater, meet with education officials, and recall the turning points and responsible stages of life.
28-year-old Rohith Sharan Sankaran is one of the Indian graduates who stands out for his progress, activity, and willingness.
He graduated from Yerevan State Medical University in 2020. “I did one year of internship. So, I stayed 7 years in total in Armenia. I left the country in 2021. I passed my FMGE in first attempt and started working in India”, Rohith Sharan tells. He also graduated from the American University of Armenia, specializing in public health.
Right now, Rohith is studying in Scotland. “But my research is going in Malaysia. After Malaysia maybe I’ll come back to Armenia to do research here in cooperation with YSMU”, he supposes.
Rohith Sharan got married recently with Swetha, who is a doctor too. “After marriage we wanted to go somewhere, and we thought why not Armenia. “The country is peaceful; the people are friendly. We will probably come back again maybe next summer. And we will be coming back again and again in different times to experience different Armenia”, he assures.
By the way, Rohith Sharan is not the only one in the family who received education at YSMU: his brother, 25-year-old Varun Roshan Sankaran; is also a graduate of the Medical University.
