The Scientific Council meeting of Yerevan State Medical University was held on October 29. The first issue on the agenda regarding the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Konstantin Chokoraya,

The two-day satellite symposium explored through lectures and a roundtable discussion with international experts the interplay of stress, genetics and viruses in human cancer.

The 7th meeting of the Armenian-German Oncology School (ArGOS) was held at Yerevan State Medical University.
Scheduled for September 4–6, this annual scientific conference brought together experienced and early-career professionals from Armenia and Germany, as well as Armenian and international medical students and future physicians.

In the 2025–2026 academic year, 709 first-year students joined the large “Heratsi” family across the Faculties of General Medicine, Stomatology, Pharmacy, and Military Medicine. Opening its doors to the new cohort, Armenia’s premier medical institution welcomed the students as they embarked on the challenging yet noble journey of becoming physicians.

The end of the academic year and the last session of the Scientific Council of this semester were solemn. July 9 was marked by the traditional event of the professional oath of graduates at the Medical University.

On February 12th, Career Center Cardiology Society (YCS) and MedExplora hosted a workshop to introduce students to the fundamentals of research.
In particular, the following key steps were addressed such as finding mentors and exploring research areas.

Future endocrinologist Hivi Kumanayake has come to Armenia from Sri Lanka. 3rd year student of the Faculty of General Medicine chose to come to Armenia as he heard YSMU had a really good education system which was affordable as well. According to him, YSMU has an amazing staff.
