The members of the COBRAIN Advisory Board – Zaven Khachaturyan, the President of the “Prevention of Alzheimer's disease 2020” organization, the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “Alzheimer's & Dementia”; Alan Kaluef, the Director of the ZENEREI research center, the Head of the Neurology and Pharmacology Laboratory, Professor of neuroscience; and Jasek Jaworski, the Deputy-Head of Science at the International Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology, head of the laboratory, expert in molecular and cellular neurobiology – joined the ranks of Visiting Professors of Yerevan State Medical University named after Mkhitar Heratsi.
World AIDS Day, observed each year on December 1, is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV, and remember those who have died from an HIV-related illness. Started in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first-ever global health day.

Famous cardiovascular surgeon, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Bagrat Aleqyan and President of the ESBB (European, Middle Eastern & African Society for Biopreservation and Biobanking), the Founder and the Head of the Biobank of the University of Graz in Austria, Visiting Professor of YSMU Department of Medical Genetics, Expert of the EU ARICE Program Karine Sargsyan became Honorary Doctors of the 100-year-olduUniversity.
The works of the genetic laboratory “Genotek” have started in Yerevan: all he activities here will be carried out jointly with the Center for Medical Genetics and Primary Health Care.
