Young doctors have replenished the medical staff of Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery

Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery continues to make success. YSMU Indian alumni success in India

Two Indian graduates of YSMU, Prabjot Sinkh and Paul Jason, have recorded high results in their country.Thanks to the FMGE training course organized by the YSMU Career Center in April 2017, they have successfully overcome a difficult test in India thanks to the knowledge gained in the main university. FMGE exam is conducted by the Indian Medical Council, where all Indian students studying in foreign universities are required to undertake medical practice in India.

TODAY THERE ARE MORE THAN 50 MILLION PEOPLE WITH ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE IN THE WORLD – AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HELD AT YSMU

Օn October 26, YSMU hosted an international conference titled “Let’s Help Armenia fight against Alzheimer’s Disease Problems”, aimed at helping to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease in Armenia. Today there are more than 50 million people with Alzheimer’s disease in the world. The disease emerges after the age of 60, mostly between 75 and 84 years. As Alzheimer’s disease is incurable, main treatment is the improvement of life quality of patients.

NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS BECAME YSMU HONORARY DOCTORS AND AWARDED DIPLOMAS TO THE FIRST GRADUATES OF THE HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION MASTER’S PROGRAM

Nobel Prize laureates Ben Feringa and Frederic Stoddart were present at YSMU . The professors are renowned scientists in the field of chemistry. The Trio, composed of Ben Ferguson, Frederic Stoddart and Jean-Pierre Suwage, won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for their work on the design and synthesis of molecular chains in 2016.

Prof. Ben L. Feringa and Prof. J. Fraser Stoddart are some of the worldwide prominent scientists in the field of chemistry. Sir Fraser Stoddart and Ben Feringa together with together with Jean P. Sauvage formed a golden trio and won the Nobel prize for chemistry in 2016. They earned the Nobel prize for their work on the design and synthesis of molecular machines.

LEADING RUSSIAN SCIENTIST VLADIMIR CHEKHONIN- HONORARY DOCTOR OF YSMU

At the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi a special meeting of the Scientific Council was convened, during which the Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Medical Nano biotechnology at the University of Pirogov Vladimir Chekhonin was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of YSMU.
