Down Syndrome is a disorder that occurs when there is a duplication of the twenty-first chromosome․ So, on March 21 – a date chosen to represent the chromosomal defection found in Down Syndrome (the twenty-first day of the third month) – World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated, an event created to raise public awareness, promote inclusivity, encourage advocacy, and support the wellbeing of those living with Down Syndrome.
In the history of the 100-year-old medical university, March 16 was marked by the opening of the “COBRAIN” Scientific-Educational Center for Fundamental Brain Research.
About 150 consultations were performed, and 27 instructions for surgery were given. The analysis by hospitalshows that the largest influx of patients was in “Heratsi” N1 University Hospital, where about 100 consultations were performed, including 16 ENT, 11 neurological and 10 gynecological.

March 3 is observed as World Hearing Day to raise awareness on preventing deafness and hearing loss. The World Health Organization on March 3 in 2007 observed World Hearing Day for the first time. Across the world, 360 million people suffer from disabling hearing loss.
Anandika Prasad is a 4th course student at the Faculty of General Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University. She was born in a city named Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. “While aiming to become a skillful doctor, I have always been an extrovert and love to master self-confidence at the same time”, she says.
