The Center of Excellence in Dental Education

The Centre for Excellence in Dental Education, located in the main building of YSMU, is unique in the country due to its capabilities. It was officially opened in May 2018.

Designed to develop and enhance the practical skills of both future and practicing dentists, the centre features comfortable facilities equipped with appropriate simulators, phantoms, dental training equipment and computerized robot simulators with specialized software. The centre is equipped with the essential devices, suitable furniture, and modern professional educational literature covering all professional disciplines.

The centre enables future dentists to develop practical skills in the pre-clinical phase, ensuring full achievement of the expected learning outcomes. The introduction of innovative simulation educational technologies in both undergraduate and postgraduate dental education along with continuing education stages, allows to develop the students’ practical skills and minimize medical errors in their professional practice.

The centre also conducts the assessment phase for the practical skills of the “Stomatology” specialty academic program for state final attestation.

To implement the introduction of leading practice and ensure the best outcomes of the reforms, the centre conducts training courses, master classes, education courses for future and practicing dentists by internationally recognized experts.
