History
The Simulation Center for Practical Skills was established on December 22, 2014. Since April 11, 2014, the center has been headed by S.S. Hovhannisyan, Doctor of Medical Sciences (D.Sc.).
Academic Activities
The center provides instruction in the following subjects:
- First Aid (1st year)
- Obstetrics and Gynecology (5th and 6th years)
- Internal Medicine / Therapy (4th, 5th, and 6th years)
- Intensive Care (6th year)
- Surgery (3rd, 5th, and 6th years)
- Pediatrics (5th year)
Additionally, the center organizes and conducts State Exams using the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) format. Subjects are taught through both theoretical and practical methods, utilizing medical mannequins and specialized simulators.
Research and Cooperation
The faculty members of the center conduct research on Simulation Education, resulting in various published articles and ongoing projects. The center’s lecturers have organized and presented at several conferences dedicated to the theme of “Simulation Education in Medicine.”
The Simulation Center for Practical Skills collaborates with the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
