History
Head of the chair: Alexander R․ Sarkisov
The Chair of Emergency and Disaster Medicine was established in 1994, at the National Institute of Health MOH RA at the initiative of professor Ara M․Minasyan.
Since 2011 the chair has been operating at Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi․
During these years of operation of the chair, thousands of specialists were trained: doctors, nurses, drivers, rescuers etc.
Teaching
On-board training is organized for emergency medical staff, receptions, intensive care unit staff, as well as clinical residents.Training is provided through both lectures and practical training and on-call duty at ambulance stations and university clinic bases
